Till a decade or so ago, getting cheap car insurance for women was a difficult thing. It has been quite a journey getting the once patriarchal society to get rid of its gender biases but we are getting there. Things have changed now – the world has naturally and inevitably become open to women drivers in many places – and although most people still discriminate between drivers on the basis of gender – it is no longer difficult to drive if you are a woman – nor is it difficult to arrange for everything you need to be able to drive yourself – your car, its paperwork and your car insurance.
Car insurance for women is generally available at cheaper rates than for men. This is not based on individual studies of gender but on the large groups of men and women on the whole: are more men or more women involved in accidents every year?
Men drive more than women do – again, this is not a statement about individual men or women – but about statistical data on the whole – at any given time – more men can be found driving than women. This counts up to the next obvious statement – since men drive more, they are involved in more accidents.
Women tend to be safer drivers than men – and women drive less as well – which makes it easy to get relatively cheap car insurance for women.
So most companies will offer better insurance quotes for women than they will for men – in facts there are many companies that will cater to women only.
